Title Abstractor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Title Abstractor.

JOB DETAILS:

• Conducts extensive research on ownership of real estate and verify titles;
• Searches courthouse records and real estate records;Summarizes judgments, liens, mortgages;
• Compiles lists of deeds, easements, leases, mortgages, contracts, and other instruments that affect ownership by searching public and private records for law firms, real estate agencies, or title insurance companies;
• Conducts extensive title research, compiling deeds, mortgages, leases, judgments to generate ownership reports, run sheets and/or abstracts;
• Prepares curative documents for ongoing acquisitions proficiently
• Position is remote will require travel to court houses as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of one year experience in surface and/or mineral title examination
• Uncompromised accuracy
• Business knowledge and familiarity with surface title
• Ability to perform extensive title research, compiling deeds, mortgages, leases, judgments to generate ownership reports, run sheets and/or abstracts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

• Decatur, AL 35601: Relocate before starting work (Required)
