Timber Buyer Assistant

Responsibilities for materials buyer/Purchasing

• Purchases assigned items at the best price from reliable sources, following established standards for quality, quantity, and other requirements of the business
• Establishes and maintains a harmonious relationship with vendors or prospective vendors to enhance the performance and reputation of the company
• Follows up and expedites orders to obtain proper, on-time delivery
• Assists with backorders and resolution of match and hold reports to resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies
• Advises management of improvements on standard materials and equipment, price changes, marketing changes, and source changes
• May investigate new sources of supply for assigned purchased materials

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
