The Position
This position performs a variety of administrative, public relations, and clerical functions to assist in the daily operations and event ticketing activities of the Grunin Center Box Office.

What You Will Do
1. Assists patrons with ticket orders via the phone or in person in a professional & courteous manner; prior to performances, distributes will-call tickets and sells walk-up patron tickets and ensures timely seating of patrons.
2. Uses CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system effectively to provide patrons with the best ticket purchasing experience.
3. Prepares pre-event & post-event ticketing numbers to be utilized by marketing, development, etc.
4. Organizes publicity information used by box office personnel and student workers.
5. Stays current on all Grunin Center events, discounts, and special marketing offers.
6. Assists in training new employees in Box Office procedures and ticketing software.
7. Interacts with front of house and production staff to facilitate timely start of performances and to communicate patrons needs.
8. Prepares and delivers deposits according to the Ocean County College cash handling procedures.
9. Handles special needs for patrons such as complimentary tickets and ADA requests; distributes and maintains hearing impaired devices;10. Related duties as assigned.
The Successful Candidate Must Have
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. One year of experience in office or sales environment requiring proficiency in written and spoken English, excellent client service skills and ability to handle cash and carry out daily duties with limited supervision.
3. At least one year of recent use of computer software related to a similar role.
Even Better If You Have
1. Three years' experience in the field of box office administration preferred, but additional education may be substituted on a year for year basis.
