Threat Assessment Specialist

St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a Threat Assessment Specialist to join our team.

Unit/Position Summary

Under limited supervision, the Threat Assessment Specialist reviews, analyzes, and assesses identified alarming/threatening behavior that has the potential to negatively impact St. Luke’s Health System and/or its employees.

• Responsible for the research and analysis of security threats which could impact St. Luke's Health System and/or its employees. Prepares detailed Threat Assessments and presents analysis with findings and recommendations, in the form of briefings, reports, or dashboards as required.
• Recommends and develops threat countermeasures based on threat analysis, intelligence, and forecasting.
• Collaborates on the coordination of safety and emergency management programs. Coordinate emergency response plans and trainings in conjunction with internal stakeholders as required.
• Advises leaders and staff on Threat Assessment practices and provides consultation and assistance as requested regarding Threat Assessment.
• Responsible for maintaining the case management tool. Creates new cases as threats arise and documents findings, facts, and relevant information.
• Manages all data and provides metrics based on data received, as required.
• Proactively monitors media and government resources to be current on all global threat conditions that could potentially impact employees and/or the organization.
• Collaborates on organizational projects designed to further protect employees.
• Notifies employees who are the focus of a threat in order to increase the level of safety/security in the workplace. Prioritizes and manages the employees of the highest concern who have participated in the Threat Assessment process and require additional follow up including intervention and coordination of services to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Participates in simulated Threat Assessments to ensure consistent application of the current Threat Assessment instrument and appropriate collection of information.
• Supports and maintains threat intelligence policies, risk assessments, and processes; Provides feedback and recommendations on gaps, best practices, and controls that are appropriate to mitigate vulnerabilities and threats.
• Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.

• Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree
