Therapy Scheduler

The Clinical Scheduler is responsible for the Therapy Scheduling (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech therapy) patient scheduling for HCP of Texas.

Pay Range: $14.58-$21.86 based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for Start of Care (SOC) as they are set to “Admit” in the system.
• Discharge care plans as patients discharge from Home Health.
• Communicates with Therapists and vendors.
• Schedule Therapy visits.
• Communicate and coordinate with the nurses to make scheduling changes as needed to accommodate patients.
• Key in the frequency into HCNet as the nurses communicate them by email.
• Responsible to ensure that every therapist is meeting productivity and be able to explain variances in productivity in bi-monthly utilization meetings with upper management
• Maintain the weekend reports and assign the proper on-call nurses for each assigned territory.
• Complete the weekend PTO accruals from On call and turn it into the Office Manager.
• Maintain the territory map and make corrections/adjustments as needed.
• Schedule the Social Worker as requests are made for them.
• Participate in the morning intake meetings daily and reports scheduling issues and concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service to clinicians, internal team, sales team, patients and families that we serve.

Experience Needed:

• Past experience in a medical field preferred
• Previous scheduling experience a plus!
