Overview

The Crisis Therapist provides direct services to clients enrolled in the STEP Partial Hospitalization Program. These services may include: facilitating daily groups, providing individual support and family therapy sessions, psychosocial assessment, case management, coordination with Kaiser clinics, maintenance of case records including treatment plans, DSM V, Discharges and Mental Health notes. They are a member of a multidisciplinary team and work a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. No on-call, evening, or weekend requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a daily narrative therapy process group and support with other groups utilizing CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness interventions.
  • Conduct 2 family therapy sessions for each youth enrolled .
  • Conduct intake assessments for each youth to determine needs.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement a treatment plan.
  • Work directly with Kaiser clinics to collaborate on treatment and discharge planning. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members and providers.
  • Participate in individual and/or group supervision.
  • Chart mental health notes, treatment plans, discharges, DSM diagnoses, incident reports, timecards, and other documentation as necessary, in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership in case planning and while consulting with team members.
  • Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing the Seneca mission and philosophy.
  • Attend all required trainings.
  • Assist with client transportation as needed.
  • Carry out responsibilities related to prevention of and safety within restraint/seclusion as per Seneca's Equilibrium Policy.
Qualifications
  • BBS registration required
  • Valid California Drivers License
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience working with youth in the mental health field preferred
  • Good organizational and writing skills
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and unconditional care
  • Clearance of TB test, physical exam, fingerprints, and any other State/Federal requirements.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster (or an HR-approved religious or medical exemption).

  • Full-time
  • Monday - Friday 
  • 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Benefits
  • Starting salary: $69,010 - $83,010 annually.
    • Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
    • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam
    • Additional $4000 salary increase for BBS licensure
