Therapist - Clinic

Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc., a private, non for-profit health and human service agency located in Auburn, NY is seeking a Full Time Mental Health Therapists.

The Mental Health Therapist provides direct Therapeutic services to clients of Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. utilizing in-person and telehealth options.

Responsibilities

• Providing assessment, diagnosis and on-going direct therapeutic services to clients in a variety of permissible settings including, but not limited to, office and home. Refers questions to Supervisor.
• Participates, as scheduled in the Agency Open Access model.
• Prepares progress notes, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment plans in collaboration with clients to support shared decisions making and to keep clients informed of their progress throughout treatment. Consults with supervisor when needed.
• Ensures documentation is completed in accordance with HIPPA, OMH and Agency regulations and standards. Utilizing an electronic health record for all client documentation.
• Completes necessary corrections/updates identified in the quality assurance/utilization review process.
• Attends weekly supervision meetings with Clinic Supervisor/Director as well as other group supervision meetings.
• Participates in agency staff meetings, study groups, and agency committees as needed.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement model to address systemic, organization-wide challenges.

Qualifications:

• A valid NYS Professional licensure (LMFT, LCAT, LMHC, LMSW) or limited permit eligibility
• Two years prior supervised clinical experience is preferred.
• Master's degree in social work or related Field is required.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be an independent worker or self-directed.

The Agency Offers:

• 3 Weeks PTO in your first year, 4 Weeks in your second year.
