JOB SUMMARY
Gauss Management Research and Engineering (GMRE) is seeking a Test Engineer to support the 556 TES at Creech AFB.
This position is contingent on contract award.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Test Engineer shall provide technical guidance, data analysis, reporting, and coordination assistance for all technical engineering requirements associated with the procurement, sustainment, modification, performance, and TTPs of the MQ-9, MQ-9 subsystems, or other RPA programs.
- The Test Engineer shall provide engineering and technical support to analyze OT&E data, components, and test planning. Support shall include development of objectives, test matrices, measures of performance, measures of effectiveness, effectiveness criteria, data collection sheets, run cards, and surveys.
- The Test Engineer may be directed to maintain the Watch Item List, Deficiency Report List, Operational Flight Program (OFP) lineage, software notes, Software Change Request (SCR) documentation and software requirements list for the purposes of updating test objectives, test run cards, documenting test results, and drafting/submitting deficiency reports. These documents shall be kept updated for test planning, mission planning, data analysis, test reporting, and mission debriefing.
- The individual shall apply knowledge and experience from their subject matter area to assist in research and development of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), defining test requirements, developing test plans and procedures, drafting pre-test briefings, executing tests, documenting test results, analyzing test documentation, and informing final test reporting or training products on the MQ-9 or other RPA program and any related subsystems.
- The individual will be assigned to test teams by the 556 TES/CC or delegated representative.
- The individual shall apply knowledge and experience from their subject matter area to assist in the identification, formation, and coordination of requirements to support the acquisition, sustainment, and supportability of systems related to the MQ-9 or other RPA programs.
- The individual shall not make budgetary or policy decisions but shall provide financial management support for tests and evaluations. This support should include a rough order of 3 magnitude (ROM) for test execution, travel, and range costs by managing the development, integration, and maintenance of short and long-range financial/budgetary projections.
- The individual shall provide hardcopy or electronic media version of final/approved products to the Government when requested. Electronic media shall be compatible with Microsoft or Adobe formats. The contractor will prepare all documents in accordance with 53 WGI 99-101, the Test Team Handbook, and any other applicable guidance.
- The individual shall provide subject matter expertise in onsite and offsite meetings, provide product inputs, and assist in determining resources for test and squadron functions as required.
- The individual will provide these on an advisory basis, the final commitment of resources or acquisition decisions is inherently governmental and will remain so.
- The individual shall create a continuity folder containing job responsibilities, procedures, points of contact, templates, forms, and associated task documentation.
- The individual shall be responsible for safeguarding all Government property provided for contractor use.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years Air Force engineering experience
- At least 2 years RPA test experience, preferably RPA Operational Test
- DAU Engineering level II/practitioner or equivalent and DAU Test level II/practitioner or equivalent certification
- Technical Bachelor’s degree Technical bachelor’s degree
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have Top Secret Security Clearance and be SAP eligible.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
- Position will travel up to 30% of the time out of state and overnight to fulfill contract requirements.
