Join us as a Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer. In this role, you'll interact directly with the customer as you develop Flight Test Instrumentation supporting the world's premier aircraft.
Some shift, extended hours, weekend work and travel may be required.
** Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. No dual citizenship will be considered. **
A Level 3 employee typically has 5-10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical, aeronautics, or mechanical engineering; computer science; or equivalent experience
• At least five years of professional experience
• Instrumentation experience
• Aerospace background
Desired skills
• ABET-accredited bachelor's with a technical master's degree
• Specific experience in Flight Test Instrumentation and developing data acquisition systems for air vehicles including Curtiss-Wright or Safran equipment
• Analog and digital circuit design and analysis
• Proficient in troubleshooting techniques and tools, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other common laboratory equipment
• Background in related specialties: signal conditioning, transducers, data acquisition, video protocols and compression, GPS, IRIG 106, and avionics bus protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, IEEE 1394, Ethernet, and Fiber Channel
• Proven abilities to define and select equipment to support engineering build requirements
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings & process specifications, CATIA familiarity
• Experience with tooling, machining or fabrication; assembly/Build Floor support experience; or lean manufacturing and process Improvement; manufacturing experience in metallic, non-metallic, electrical, assembly and installations.
• Demonstrated behaviors in successfully interfacing with others in a demanding environment

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
