Title: Territory Sales Manager


Job description
The Territory Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving the sales of our commercial agricultural equipment within our designated 8-state geographical area. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and achieving revenue targets.


Responsibilities:
• Identify and target new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Present and demonstrate the benefits of the company’s equipment and solutions to potential clients.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Stay up to date with the features, benefits, and technical aspects of the company’s equipment and solutions.
• Provide customers with in-depth product knowledge and address their questions or concerns effectively.
• Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs tailor sales strategies accordingly.
• Report market feedback and insights to the sales and marketing teams.
• Prepare and deliver accurate price quotes and proposals to customers.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with potential clients, adhering to company pricing and contract guidelines.
• Travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients, conduct product demonstrations, and attend industry events and trade shows.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records in the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• All additional duties assigned.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• 10+ years sales experience (required).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Fifty percent travel is required.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently.
• Good understanding of Ag industry equipment and its operations.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Enthusiastic, dedicated, self-motivated individual.
• Proven experience in Territory Sales, preferably within the industrial equipment industry.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and results-driven with a history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Proficiency in using sales and CRM software (salesforce is a plus)>
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License for travel.


Individual should be able to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understand and conduct oral and written directions. Individual must have the ability to maintain a high degree of motivation in team members to retain the focus of providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.


The individual should have a steady work record, the ability to operate a variety of equipment safely, and to diagnose, adjust, and repair malfunctions; read and understand operator's and repair manuals, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.

• Ability to get around the dealership and grounds for various tasks.
• The employee would normally lift or move 10 lbs., frequently lift or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to tolerate up and down movements with bending or stooping including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.
• Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb a ladder with the ability to carry an object while climbing.
• Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment, as necessary.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs. of force.
• Must meet health assessment requirements.
• Ability to drive within a one-hour radius of location.

Likewise, MSA is a distributor of Case IH Application Equipment, focusing on the custom commercial applicator, located within the seven mid-south states; including the Owensboro, KY location, which primarily focuses on the distribution of pull-type applicators and three point toolbars.
