Job Overview: As a Terminal Operator at Ingredient Transport, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient unloading and storage of bulk fertilizer products. Working in our warehouse/barge unloading facility, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Barge Unloading:
- Operate and monitor equipment for efficient barge unloading.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during the unloading process.
- Collaborate with the team to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
- Truck Loading:
- Oversee the loading of trucks with precision and attention to detail.
- Verify product specifications and quantities before loading.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the loading area.
- Fertilizer Storage:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels in storage facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure product quality and integrity.
- Implement proper storage procedures and handle inventory tracking.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and training for the team.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with colleagues to achieve operational goals.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and team members.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse or terminal operations, preferably in a similar industry.
