Form of workGENERAL SUMMARY: The Tennis Program Coordinator will manage and coordinate the Tennis Program and services; manage and train tennis instructors; supervise six seasonal instructors working at three different tennis court locations within the city; maintain responsibility for execution of summer Tennis Program consisting of youth lessons, adult lessons and season-ending youth singles tournament; report to the Recreation Supervisor; complete evaluations of instructor staff; recommend program improvements; and perform other duties as assigned.

- Supervise, instruct and lead tennis instructors.
- Conduct opinion surveys and needs assessments.
- Implement organizational process and policy changes.
- Evaluate program effectiveness.
- Recommend organizational process and policy changes.
- Teach tennis classes.
- Train instructors on safety topics.
- Communicate and coordinate with Park and Recreation office staff concerning weather-related issues, enrollment problems or program challenges.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience and knowledge of tennis game rules, scoring and techniques.
- Experience instructing or advising youth.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management or related field.
- Leadership and supervisory experience.
