Overview
The Summer Meals Order Fulfillment Associate, reports to the Programs and Services department. This position is responsible for supporting the Summer Meals Program through pulling orders and loading vehicles for the delivery of meals from the FBSJ facility and/or pickup hubs to partner sites for the entirety of the program, as well as documenting delivery and collection as needed for the duration of its 2024 run. This position works closely with other part time and seasonal staff to accomplish all delivery, distribution and tracking associated with Food Bank Summer Meals service, compliance, and reporting. (2 positions offered.)
This is a part-time, in-person, temporary position beginning June 17 and continuing through August 30, 2024. The pay rate is $20/hr. Workdays are Monday – Friday, approximate hours 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Unpaid time-off requests evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Overview

Specific Responsibilities
- Pull orders per pick sheets using manual or electric pallet jack and barcode scanner
- Record any discrepancies (shortages, damage or replenishments needed)
- Stage orders for delivery in designated locations
- Assist with pick-up hubs as needed
- Contribute with other staff members to maintaining the order and cleanliness of all warehouse locations
- Store pallets in assigned locations
- Identify spoiled or expired product and dispose of as directed
- Operate other FB equipment as trained and assigned
- Able to communicate unexpected situations to manager
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- No field experience is required but experience with electric pallet jacks is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
