Temporary Nurse Educator Classroom Instruction

This is a Temporary Nurse Educator position for the summer months - beginning as early as May through August 2023.
Responsibilities: Partnership with Nurse Educators to facilitate the instruction of orientation classes for registered nurses and other nursing team members.
Schedule: this position is part-time, approximately 8 hours per week Monday through Friday with the opportunity to increase hours as well.
Experience Needed: The ideal candidate would be an individual with Classroom Instruction experience. For example, Nurse Educators or nursing faculty.
Essential Functions

• Develops, coordinates, manages, facilitates, conducts and evaluates competency programs. The educator collaborates with operational leaders to address deficits in employee's knowledge and skills.
• Designs and develops educational opportunities to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge, skills and practice. This may include obtaining continuing education approval.
• Fosters interprofessional learning and enables effective collaboration to improve practice outcomes for the nurse and other health care personnel. Functions as a mentor, coach, and resource in the development of nursing and other clinical support roles as the employee transitions throughout their career life cycle.
• Applies research, evidenced based practice and quality improvement principles in education, professional role development, orientation, and competency.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing
• Preferred Master's Degree Nursing Education or Adult Education

• 5 years of relevant experience clinical experience related to area of focus Required
• Education and program development Preferred

• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
