Temporary Digital Content Specialist

Job Description
Responsible for distilling large ideas and campus initiatives into Digital Content that engages student, faculty, staff, and donor audiences. Acts as the Digital Content expert both within the department and across the college to help elevate web presence.

Base Pay: $22.46. Offer amount based on College's Salary Schedule guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Writes, edits, produces, and posts content for website and other digital efforts. Works with stakeholders with varying writing abilities to create and edit content.
• Manages and leads content projects from inception to delivery and helps set stakeholder roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
• Participates in the production of other media types including audio, video, and infographics. Manages the curation and delivery of content assets such as images and graphics.
• Performs content audits on existing projects to improve navigation, taxonomy, and information architecture. Applies digital best practices, accessibility elements and search optimization to all content and efforts.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a communications area, related field, or relevant industry experience.
• Four years creating web content and other Digital Content

Knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
• Understanding of content strategy, information architecture, user experience and user interface design.

Skilled in:

• Creating web and other Digital Content campaigns including email or social media.
• Writing with clarity, consistency, and precision

Ability to:

• Think critically and creatively, have a high standard of integrity, and be motivated to incorporate best practices into the organizational culture
• Identify, analyze, and resolve problems, driving solutions through to completion

Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:

• Regular physical attendance required

Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

• Experience in higher education

Knowledge of:

• HTML, CSS and Google Analytics.

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

• Identify and distinguish colors and shades of color
• Communicate information orally and in writing
• Receive and understand information through oral and written communication
• Proofread and check documents for accuracy
