Position Summary
The Stock Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard. The Stock Clerk also ensures that all supply requirements are processed accurately and in a timely manner and receives and inventories OCIE in support of CST mission.
Essential Functions of the Position
- Exchanges items turned in by authorized personnel due to fair wear and tear, unserviceable, or improper fit
- Maintains a daily transaction register in ISM showing all actions taken during the day
- Reconciles OCIE records contained in ISM with unit rosters monthly and resolve discrepancies as required
- Accepts turn-ins of OCIE, determine serviceability of turn-ins, return serviceable items to stock and turn in items determined to be unserviceable / uneconomically repairable to the Installation Supply Support Activity (ISSA) after concurrence from the Government classified
- Conducts location surveys, special, cyclic and annual inventories in accordance with procedures established in AR 735-5, AR 710-2, DA PAM 710-2-1 and CIF SOP
- Performs research to resolve inventory discrepancies. Investigates stock/record/material discrepancies impacting inventory balances
- Operates material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and stock selectors to move material
- Receives, stores, maintains, inventories, and issues ICEMP items
- GCSS-Army (Global Combat Support System-Army) experience
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
- Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, and stooping to handle of materials.
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must have ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Must have warehousing and supply system experience, preferably GCSS-Army
- Possess a Valid Drivers’ License.
