Job Description
Must be able to oversee a small group of people.
Must have the ability to plan, organize and prioritize well and handle problems and concerns without assistance.
Must be proficient with the requirements of the process and the equipment used.
Must be proficient with the requirements of the applicable OSHA and NAVSEA Standard Items.
Must know how to set up a job efficiently.
Must be able to install and maintain freeze protection and back-flow preventers.
Must be able to repair and overhaul temporary fire stations.
Must be able to place connecting temperature water coolers aboard ship for drinking purposes.
Must be able to install rat guards on lines and hoses with diameters 1-1/2" and larger.
Must be able to install and hookup air dryers.
Must be able to inspect, repair and test air and water manifolds for installation aboard ship.
Must be able to install quick disconnects within 10 feet of hull penetrations to facilitate the deployment of smoke curtains.
Must be able to route hoses, lines and leads.
Must be able to inspect hoses, vent ducting, blowers, air manifolds, electrical disconnect, spider boxes, and cables.
Must have understanding of ship systems layout, installation and repair.
Must have WAF training.
Must have OSHA training.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must pass a background and drug screening.
