Telepsychiatry Services
Need for 5 hours weekly of Telehealth services
Activities the Contractor shall perform:
The Contractor shall:
1) Provide telepsychiatry services consisting of the following:
a) Psychiatric Evaluations
b) Medication Management
c) Consultation with Treatment Team
2) Provide five hours of telepsychiatry services weekly at a mutually agreed upon time with MDHHS. After-hours contact s hall be limited to true psychiatric and medication emergencies only. Contractor is not responsible for the availability of the Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant under these conditions.
3) Participate in formal and informal education and training programs as agreed upon with MDHHS.
4) Attend case reviews, facility by MDHHS as scheduled.
5) Attend family consultation session, facilitated by MDHHS, as needed.
6) The Psychiatrists or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant will remain employees or independent contractors with the Contractor throughout the term of this Agreement. The Psychiatrists or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant will not be deemed employees of MDHHS for any purpose. Psychiatrists or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant provided by the Contractor cannot be employed by MDHHS for any reason for at least one year following the termination of this Agreement and termination of employment with the Contractor without written permission by the Contractor.
7) MDHHS agrees to provide Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant with the support personnel and facilities that MDHHS and Contractor determine is necessary for Psychiatrist's or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner's or Psychiatric Physician Assistant's performance of the services.
8) Contractor agrees that all services provided under this Agreement shall be provided in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. Contractor understands that MDHHS will evaluate, on an ongoing basis, the quality of care provided by its Psychiatrists or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant. Contractor agrees to participate in the implementation and development of quality and patient safety initiatives of MDHHS as reasonably requested.
