SalaryPosition Summary Responsible for the prompt and courteous response to all incoming call signals, including emergency signals, and paging system.
Essential Functions, * Answers incoming call signals promptly and courteously, in the order in which they are received.
* Must give progress reports, when caller is waiting on the line (every 0 to 40 seconds).
* Responds to Code calls (Cod Blue, Emergency, etc.).
* Responds and follows up on any inter-hospital calls.
* Responds and transmits all overhead and beeper paging.
* Maintains all records pertaining to the Telephone Operator work assignments (Patient
Telephones, Emergency Calls, Long Distance Calls, Code Blue, etc.)
* Performs all other duties as required
Position Requirements
Formal Education / Experiencce This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year job-related experience.
Desired (not required) criteria include: Minimum one year experience with telephone company or hospital experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.51 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 7 per week
