Position Summary
The Telemetry, Analytics and Tools Product Manager role is responsible for maximizing the value for our Telemetry, Analytics and Tools product line including Network Fault, Capacity, Configuration, Performance Tools, and advanced analytics to deliver tools, observability, and analytics services to improve business agility, customer experience and operational excellence. The Telemetry, Analytics and Tools Product Manager will proactively lead product-centric deliverables and quickly adapt to changing business needs, improve customer experience and deliver new business capabilities that support strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include defining the vision and roadmap for their products, defining, and prioritizing the features/epics in the program backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and development teams. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs to ensure they are aligned on priorities. They support and collaborate on financials throughout delivery. They are experts of the products, business or technology domain, and the industry in which the product competes as well as having a deep understanding of the product line financials and forward-looking book of work.
Key Responsibilities & Professional Competencies
- Define and execute the product strategy, roadmap, and vision for our Telemetry, Analytics, and Tools products, aligning with the overall Network Services, Core Technology Infrastructure goals and market trends
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation
- Act as the keeper (and communicator) of the product vision. Work with stakeholders to translate this vision into product strategy, and coordinate with the product delivery teams to ensure they are building the right product
- Define the product roadmap, including which business capabilities the product should have and which business outcomes those capabilities should achieve
- Guide and empower the product engineering team to scope, plan, and delivery work, applying established delivery methodologies (e.g., agile methods) and best practices (e.g., reusability)
- Represent product(s) within network services and to external consumers and stakeholders, e.g., GIS, Finance, Audit/Risk, Lines of Business
- Oversee the budget(s) for their product(s). Support and collaborate with the Senior Technology Executives, Finance and Economic teams on financials throughout delivery
- Continuously oversee product inventory, performance, risk, key product metrics, customer feedbacks, and leveraging data-driven insights to make informed product decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Accountable for all aspects of the lifecycle, risk, and vulnerability of the Telemetry, Analytics and Tools product
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent working experience
- At least 8-10 years of Network Engineer experience
- Proven experience at least 2 years in product management, specifically in Telemetry, Analytics and Tools domains
- In-depth knowledge of Telemetry, Analytics, and Tools, such as monitoring, log management, data analytics, network analysis and data visualization
- Excellent customer service skills including reporting, organization, written and oral communication and task prioritization
- Demonstrable experience engaging executives and other stakeholders to support essential business decisions
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, with experience in agile development environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams to drive consensus and deliver successful outcomes
- Must be a highly motivated, self-directed individual capable of supporting multiple large initiatives
Desired Skills
- Master's degree
- Experience in cloud computing, SaaS, or network infrastructure
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques
- Understanding of DevOps practices and Tools
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
- CCNP or equivalent networking knowledge
