What You'll Do:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will work directly with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients and their caregivers to provide respiratory education and support to improve health outcomes. This remote position is responsible for consistently meeting program metrics while also meeting quality requirements. The RRT position is a part-time and independent contractor role.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide education and support to asthma and COPD patients and their caregivers via phone, video, or digital (chat, text, email) on behalf of our customers to improve health outcomes and drive behavior change
Support patients with all respiratory therapies and technologies
Quickly establish rapport with a diverse population of patients and caregivers
Produce behavior change among patients using motivational techniques.
Consistently meet program metrics while also meeting quality requirements
Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Experience:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)credential or RN with pulmonary experience required
Pulmonary Rehab experience preferred.
Proven experience utilizing motivational interviewing to provide positive behavior change
Demonstrated ability to receive constructive feedback and then incorporate it into patient calls to drive performance
Must have a home office for private patient conversation along with high-speed internet
Able to work independently and manage time efficiently
Must be comfortable utilizing technology such as electronic medical records, Microsoft Office, etc.
Demonstrated ability to recognize patient needs and adapt communication techniques to best serve a diverse patient population
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week to accommodate patients
Cannot hold full-time employment elsewhere
