Responsible for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications assets supporting IKAV's oil and gas operations. This individual must be proficient in theory, design, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of microwave and terrestrial communications systems.
Requirements
- Requirements Proficiency with WhatsUp Gold.
- Proficiency with GE MDS radios, including iNET-II, S Series SDR, and Transnet.
- Proficiency with TCP/IP networking, including 802.1Q VLANS, routing, routing protocols, and general network design principles.
- Proficiency with common command line tools.
- Proficiency supporting uninterruptible power supplies with network management.
- Knowledgeable in coax cable terminations.
- Knowledgeable in antenna theory and its practical application.
- Proficiency with common RF measurement tools including spectrum analyzers and vector network analyzers.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Proficiency with basic DC electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in working in and around oilfield equipment and sites.
- Knowledge in project management is desirable.
