Solutions Sales; IoT & Engineering Services
We are seeking a consultative sales executive with deep technical expertise, a problem-solver who can support growth in our industry focused Service Line Sales, primarily concentrating on the Engineering and IoT Services business. The role will serve our portfolio of clients in multiple industries across Hi-tech / Semiconductors / OEMs and ISV.
We are looking for a key sales and technology leader with experience in Product Engineering / Hi-Tech Manufacturing, IOT and experience selling Device Engineering, PLM and IoT services.
You should have some large-scale consulting sales experience, market leadership, relationship management, sales quota achievement, and excellence in achieving both annual revenue and margin targets.
You will handle a portfolio of IoT programs and project delivery, establish and run governance with client collaborators, and run financial and demand forecasts across the Connected Products portfolio. You will also drive continuous improvements resulting in client value benefits, as well as a continuous proficiency uplift resulting in productivity and efficiency gains. This is a true P&L role - responsible for both top line & bottom-line growth.

You will be responsible for the following:
- Crafting sales strategy and plan for pipeline generation.
- Key collaborator management.
- Proactive proposals and RFP in line to account strategy
- Partners with internal leaders for solution creation and execution.
- Responsible for Sales, Business Development & Customer Relationship activities for the Communications Vertical.
- Achieve annual revenue & profitability targets.
- Work in a matrix organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals.
- Collaboration with Vertical teams, develop strong, long-term relationships with executives.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process.
- Demand fulfillment, collaborating with HR / Ops, Offshore Teams
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or similar field
- Proven track record with a minimum of 8 years in a Business / Sales role in Product Engineering, industrial automation, or manufacturing across multiple industries
- Experience with large scale consulting engagements
- Ability to appreciate and work on 360-degree aspects around a Product development life cycle for Device Engineering, Network Transformation, Data Communications, Hi-tech manufacturing.
- Deep technical skills in Engineering Services in the IoT domain, with the ability to find technical solutions to business problems and engage the potential customer with "consultative selling" is meaningful.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills are required.
- Ability to interface at all levels of an organization.
- Experience leading Sales/Revenue targets, P&L.
- Consultative selling experience is a must.
- Experience with global delivery models (On-shore, Offshore, Nearshore, etc. )
- Experience selling Engineering Services
- Deep knowledge of industry trends, customer growth strategies, potential opportunities in various Technologies like OSS\BSS, Edge intelligence, Device Engineering, SDN, IoT, Docsis 3.1, 5G, PLM, Mesh Networking, WiFi, Technology migrations.
- Exposure to Hi-Tech Manufacturing or PLM platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling Engineering Services and supporting solutions in a Big 4 or comparable ecosystem.
- Ability to travel as needed to clients, primarily on the West Coast
Salary and Other Compensation:
- The annual salary for this role is between $150,000 - $215,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Additional performance bonuses can range from $50,000 to $100,000.
- This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
