Job description

The primary function of the Technology Data Controls Analyst role is to work within the Corporate Investment Bank Information Architecture function to support the rollout and implementation of data related technology controls defined by Firmwide Data Assurance and Chief Data Office (CDO). You will work closely with the Information Architecture team, Chief Data Office, and Technology Asset Owners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject ma tter expertise for data related technology control procedures, including data retention and destruction, technical data quality, data use, and data description and authority controls.
  • Support Application Owners and Information Security Managers with the adoption and evidencing of data related technology control procedures.
  • Maintain a knowledge base for data related technology control procedures, including best practice, guidelines, and training.
  • Track and report metrics and OKR's (Objectives & Key Results) relating to data related technology control procedures.
  • Contribute to the CIB Opinionated Data Architecture (ODA) tooling requirements, including new features to improve efficiency and effectiveness of controls.
  • Add to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Experience in application solution design and delivery.
  • Experience of data management and governance frameworks, approaches, tools and techniques.
  • Experience of creating or maintaining a knowledge base, including best practices, guidelines and training.
  • Understand and explain technology related topics to business stakeholders, such as CIB CDO.
  • Knowledge of data management and best practices and ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a team environment with changing and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates excellent engagement skills with key stakeholder by translating control requirements to required activities.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Knowledge of data management capabilities, such as lifecycle management, data quality (DQ) management, metadata management, data classification, data lineage, data privacy or data integration.
  • Knowledge of data management technologies (e.g. data retention, data integration, data visualization, analytics) and integration styles (e.g. file, API, messaging, etc)
  • Knowledge of Financial Services, such as markets, securities services, payments, etc.
  • Experience of reporting tools such as Qlik, Tableau or Excel
