Technology & Engineering Design provides students with skills and practical hands-on STEAM experiences which include, career awareness, emerging technologies, design principles, image capture and editing, engineering tools, 3D printing technology, coding, robotics, energy and power, control systems, architecture, and aerospace. Course content leads to high schools pathways and post-secondary training in related career fields. The program of studies includes classroom instruction and lab activities aligned with Project Lead the Way's - Design and Modeling and Automations and Robotics curriculums.
The Technology and Engineering contexts are grouped into eight areas that broadly represent the breadth of technological activity. Contexts are vehicles for teaching and applying core disciplinary standards and practices.

TEC-2: Material Conversion and Processing
TEC-3: Transportation and Logistics
TEC-4: Energy and Power TEC-5: Information and Communication
TEC-6: The Built Environment

Becoming a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher in North Dakota
North Dakota Teaching License- with a major or minor in the area(s) of Technology and Engineering. Provisional certification may be granted when the instructor is enrolled in an approved CTE alternative teacher education program.

Qualifications:
- Valid ND Secondary Teaching License in Technology and Engineering.
- Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
- Computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications, Email, etc.).
- Prior experience or evidence of working with student is desired.
- Indication of a willingness to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and business/industry personnel.
