Technologist Aide (Part-Time)

The part-time Technologist Aide assists our techs with patient care, to ensure patient comfort and exceptional service. We have part-time opportunities in our Fairfield, Orange, Shelton, Stamford, Stratford, Trumbull and Wilton offices to cover MRI, CT, XR and US.

Schedule: Flexible hours during the week and weekends. We are looking for weekday evening shifts from 4pm to 9pm, and Saturday shifts ranging from 4 to 8 hours.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors with warmth, compassion, and demonstrate commitment to exceptional service.
• Provide and explain exam preps to patients, resolve patients’ questions or concerns, and if necessary, seek assistance from technologists or physicians.
• Help technologists, patient care assistants, physicians and other ARC staff as requested.
• Scan documents accurately.
• Assist in communicating with referring physicians, patients, and others by telephone to provide information, answer questions, schedule appointments and call backs, etc.
• Ensure that incoming faxes are delivered and/or acted on immediately.
• Stocking and preparing radiologic rooms; and assisting the patient on and off the exam table.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to multi-task and function in a fast paced, high-volume environment is necessary; Strong computer skills desired; Bi-lingual skills are helpful; Basic knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology; Ability to assist patients on and off exam tables.

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Radiologic Sciences Program Student or Graduate of Medical Office Assistant Program or preferred
• Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training in medical office; college education may be accepted in lieu of experience depending on course of study.
