As a Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing project work to meet installation and timeline requirements by communicating and planning with Construction, Technology, and Store Planning. You will also be participating in construction meetings, advising leadership on deficiencies and recommending solutions, evaluating new technology capabilities, conducting quality assurance checks ensuring availability of project material, and inventorying project materials.

You'll make an impact by...
- Ensuring wireless design integrity by conducting surveys, validating wireless connectivity for reliability, and adjusting systems components as needed.
- Collaborating with other teams to improve network availability and reporting technician performance back to the management team.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of cabling and telecommunication systems (for example, telecommunication, over-head paging, satellite, wireless) for Walmart facilities by collaborating with others (for example, internal support teams, suppliers, customers) to install, repair, program, and upgrade systems in accordance with technical codes and standards (for example, federal building codes, National Electric Code, Federal Communications Commission regulations, and Environmental Protection Agency regulations).
- Following established policies and procedures for supporting cabling infrastructure Systems and ensuring the completion of work within established timelines.
- Conducting inspections of supplier installation or modifications of cabling and telecommunication equipment to ensure contract compliance by conducting quality checks on work performed.
- Reporting issues to project manager and providing follow-up on issues or needed repairs.
- Ensuring adherence to codes (for example, fire codes, electrical codes) and standards by meeting with regulators (for example, electrical inspectors, fire inspectors, federal, state, and local inspectors) for cabling and telecommunications installations.
- Forming action plans to resolve installation issues and escalating and reporting problems that have not yet reached resolution to senior management.
- Providing training (for example, safety, troubleshooting, network operation, telephone programming and installation) by conducting on-site training sessions and assisting technicians in performing on-site repairs to provide hands-on learning.
