TECHNICIAN I CONCRETE JOB DESCRIPTION
The Technician I will conduct specific laboratory quality control tests of concrete and construction materials. The services provided within the Division are performed to the standards of industry including ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI as well as state laws governing professional services. All services will be performed in accordance with AET's QA/QC procedures. The Level I Technician will have an instrumental position in developing the efficiency of the department, including service orientation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Participate in laboratory batching of concrete.
· Assist laboratory evaluations of construction materials, by proportioning concrete materials.
· Perform standard mixing procedures.
· Perform laboratory testing on varies construction materials.
· Ability read concrete mix designs.
· Reporting test results
· Communicate effectively with project managers.
· Maintain AET’s productivity standards.
· Must provide quality of service and work product that meets or exceeds AET’s
expectations.
· Must have skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with
co-workers and clients.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Valid Driver’s License and acceptable record required.
· 2-year vocational or college degree is preferred.
This position requires the Technician 1 to be capable of physical labor including:
· Frequently lift 30-60 pounds from the floor to 2 feet.
· Occasionally lift 60-100 pounds from the floor to 2 feet.
· Frequently carry 30-60 pounds for 10-30 feet.
· Occasionally carry 60-100 pounds for 10-30 feet.
· Move for up to 8 hours, with frequent bending and stooping.
