We are looking for a versatile Technical Writer to join our large Redmond-based tech client’s learning team. In this role you will build and produce online help content, provide scenario guidance and updates, and maintain content portfolios as well as everything else that goes with content to be published (i.e. back-end metadata, tracking, metrics, and documentation). You will contribute to supporting a project and planning app the team utilizes, as well as some other proprietary projects.
If you are the right fit, you are passionate about working cross functionally to create meaningful learning content and are excited at the opportunity build copy that will impact millions of customers. You are strategic, and comfortable working in a software product environment where branding must be consistent across different sites, and know how to prevent content redundancies.
This is a remote, full time, contract engagement slated for 18 months (pending ongoing budget approval), and the team will need candidate to be available during PST work hours. Pay rate range, depending on experience level: 40-46/hr. W2.
Required:
- 5+ overall years of experience writing educational content for enterprise tech environments
- Experience working with publishing platforms, like GitHub for learn.microsoft.com and C3 for support.microsoft.com
- Expertise in portfolio
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365 products
- Ability to talk through writing samples specific to software products
