Description
VMC Group is seeking a Technical Web Illustrator/Animator who will be responsible for generating website illustration updates and instructional animations. The Technical Web Illustrator/Animator will develop customer drawings and be responsible for recordkeeping of all aforementioned documents.
Responsibilities not limited to:
- Manages website illustration updates and maintenance.
- Creates and presents graphical improvements to existing website submittal drawings.
- Creates 3D models and 2D website images or shop drawings (static or parametric).
- Maintains library of 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Maintains the VMC Group website under the guidance of the project manager or supervisor.
- Creates and maintains internal folder documentation, including work instructions and procedure development for all job-related responsibilities.
- Processes Engineering Change Notice/Engineering Document Release as required for new or existing products.
- Takes 3D models and generates animations using software such as Blender, Inventor, DaVinci Resolve or 3D Studio Max.
- With guidance from supervisor, creates animations for installation instructions of various products.
- Produces marketing videos, images & content as requested by executive team or supervisor.
- Creates full project animations which may include animated figures (e.g., how to pack a truck, lifting a pallet).
- Researches requirements for animation development.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to generate 2D design and 3D model drawings.
- Proficiency in mechanical aspects related to hardware, including nuts, bolts, and structural elements like beams and columns, is a plus.
- Basic ability to read and interpret architectural/mechanical drawings is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical components and understanding of mechanical components' function with a focus on form, fit and function.

Minimum Qualifications:
- AS Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Manufacturing Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology a plus.
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience illustrating mechanical components or assemblies, including plates and hardware etc...
- Proficiency in Blender, Inventor, AutoCAD 2006 or later.
- Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Krita, DaVinci, Resolve, and 3Ds Max is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in mechanical design requires an understanding of mechanical components with a focus on form, fit and function.
- Experience constructing piping assemblies is a plus.
- Experience in using industry-standard materials and documentation for research.
- Exposure to ERP systems.
- Experience in reading and interpreting architectural drawings in a plus.
