WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A TECHNICAL TEAM LEAD
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 3+ years of management experience overseeing development teams, with a focus on managing developers
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Familiarity with React and JavaScript for application development
- Familiarity with Code Pipeline and its processes
- Strong coding background with the ability to provide hands-on support and guidance to the development team
- Experience with AWS is essential
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of AWS/Azure offerings and capabilities
- AWS certification
- Previous work experience with Jira
- Knowledge and experience with .NET (C#)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and deployment tools like Octopus
DAY-TO-DAY
As the remote Technical Team Lead, your main tasks involve analyzing developer time in Jira tickets, ensuring a 15-20% margin when compared to TSheets records. You also verify time accuracy in commit logs and address discrepancies with developers, creating performance improvement plans if needed. Your days are spent managing schedules and ensuring developer availability during agreed-upon times. Additionally, you establish a standardized process for reporting time off and collaborate with HR in recruitment. You excel at conducting regular performance reviews where you provide feedback and recommendations for improvement. Working closely with the development team, you identify and eliminate inefficiencies, enhance performance, and maintain code quality. Strong leadership, effective communication, and collaboration with team members are essential.
