OLM Food Solutions in Sioux Falls, SD is looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join their team. This is a full time, on-site position with excellent compensation and benefits.
Utilizing strong troubleshooting and customer service skills, the Technical Support Specialist will respond to, document, and resolve end-user issues while working as part of an IT help desk support staff. In addition, they are responsible for actively participating computer system deployment and other projects related to
Essential Functions
Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
Receive and log client requests and own end-to-end customer interaction
Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
Identify and suggest possible improvements to procedures
Documentation of issues and solutions within a SharePoint/Microsoft Teams environment
Software installations, configuration, and support of multiple applications
Imaging, support, and configuration of Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Devices & Tablets
IT Asset inventory control and management
Printer and fax configuration and troubleshooting
Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
Take ownership of special IT projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Experience and Education Competencies
Education and/or Experience. Associate's degree (B.A.) in Information Technology; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication/Language Skills. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must. Ability to read and comprehend documents, simple instructions, and product labels.
Technical Competencies. Tech-savvy with experience & knowledge in MS Office products (Excel & Word).
Mathematical Skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts along with performing basic math functions.
Reasoning Abilities. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities.
