This is a *FULLY REMOTE* position. You will have to travel to Grand Rapids, MI 1-2 times a month!
Must-haves
- 1-2 years experience in Technical Support or helpdesk environment
- Remote connecting software, ticketing systems (AutoTask preferred), backup and recovery systems (Cronos) including Microsoft products
- Reliable personal internet and cell service
Day-to-Day
Insight Global is looking for a Technical Support Engineer for one of their clients based in Grand Rapids, MI. This person will be working remotely about 95% of the time, but will be required to be on customer sites between Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Detroit about 1-2 days a month, and must be willing and able to travel to these customer sites on an as-needed basis. This person will be assisting clients through the Technical Support desk using basic IT troubleshooting via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems. This person will be helping facilitate internal and external roll-outs of new applications and updates and performing regular backup and recovery, and troubleshooting of printers, laptops, servers and routers. This includes reviewing, revising, and updating processes and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a high sense of urgency, a self-starter who is also a team player, and someone who wants continuous education (provided by the client) to develop their technical prowess.
