Job Title: Technical Service Specialist
Location: Fargo, ND
Duration: 12 Months on W2
2nd Shift M-F 5 pm to 1:30 am.
The Technical Service Specialist position serves as a support function. Providing comprehensive assistance to key customers. The primary role involves overseeing daily operations at the customer site, specifically in relation to the pretreatment line and other related aspects (sealers, waxes, etc.) within the paint shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be present on-site at the customer account from start-up until all operations and duties are completed.
- Suggest corrective actions and communicate recommended changes to paint operators, ensuring implementation.
- Provide scheduled in-depth services for the assigned account, ensuring adherence to Processes outlined in process instructions; conduct chemical and mechanical checks of the process.
- Communicate with a written service report on chemical processes identified by the Automotive Team.
- Develop working relationships with contacts in the plant to identify potential future needs and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with other customer suppliers in the Paint Shop, gaining a basic knowledge of their operations and understanding how they relate to our chemistries and applications.
- Report to the Automotive Team with ultimate responsibility and input from appropriate Global Key Account Managers and North American Automotive Manager.
Qualifications:
- BS or BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physical Sciences, and/or Biology.
- Other degrees considered based on experience, aptitude, and a desire to learn.
- Ability to understand or quickly learn about the Automotive Paint Industry and the chemical processes provided.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and self-motivation are essential.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including email, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Availability to work a second shift during evening hours.
