We are a Technical Sales and support company providing process control and measurement instrumentation to an Americas-wide customer base. We are seeking a strong addition to our sales team, who can maintain existing customer relationships, develop new customer relationships, and drive sales projects to close. An ideal candidate will have strong technical and interpersonal skills, and be a resource for customers as they search for measurement solutions for their unique applications. The position is remote, with travel to customers required as needed. South Fork Instruments is headquartered in Auburn, CA.
The Technical Sales Associate must be self motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Microsoft Office skills are required, as well as video conferencing (Google Meet, MS Teams, etc.). Must have good phone and email etiquette, and organization skills to keep customer information organized using cloud based CRM tools. Experience with sales in biotechnology companies is most desirable.
Total Compensation package is salary plus commission. On target earnings (OTE) to equal $110,000 to $130,000 a year. Sales above target will attract additional commission.
Responsibilities
- Assess measurement applications and determine appropriate solutions from our product offering
- Create quotations
- Follow up on inquiries and proposals and close sales
- Assist customers in a timely manner by email and phone to achieve above-average customer satisfaction
- Provide or arrange basic technical support for customers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
- Conduct product demos and presentations to showcase the value proposition of our technical solutions
- Attend occasional trade shows and events as needed
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or relevant Technical Sales experience.
Qualifications
- Previous Technical Sales experience with industrial control and measurement instrumentation. Process analytical measurement experience is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good computer skills.
- Ability to travel
- Ability to understand technical concepts and effectively communicate them
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and drive revenue growth
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
