Job description

Boston Government Services is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support theLine-Item Projects/ALDPI group to manage day-to-day administrative/operational management of all activities and functions in a designated program area within a line staff department at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and ensures timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects.
  • Establishes technical requirements for the project, defines project deliverables, budgets schedules and risks.
  • Oversees project team in the planning, tracking, and execution of the project from initiation to completion.
  • Develop, execute, and deliver work packages.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of program policies, procedures, and standards; determines service levels and enhancements.
  • Assists with the development and monitoring of program budgets.
  • Provides technical advice to staff and other departments; performs related work as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of twelve years of related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position is Remote with some travel/onsite requirements working a 4/10 work schedule. Richland Duty Station due to proximity of project team and fabricators. Occasional trips to Los Alamos (on boarding and meetings on an “as-needed” basis).
  • Must be US citizen.
  • Successful drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance badge.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer prior DOE experience supporting D&D, environmental restoration and 413.3B construction projects, using EVMS programs including P6 and Cobra.
  • Ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to completion.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver performance status communications to all levels of management, both internal and external.

Starting compensation for this role typically salary ranges between $140,000 and $150,000 annually is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
