Organizational Summary

The Domestic & Regional Processing Initiatives team has responsibility for managing the technology relationship with one of Visa’s largest clients as well as having responsibility for providing management, solution oversight, end-to-end support, and delivery for Domestic & Regional Processing deployments. Areas of focus include Visa’s strategic processing agreement with a major client, various domestic processing implementations, and post-implementation interoperability. Our architects and project managers are highly visible leaders, collaborating across Visa to ensure projects are effectively managed, developed, integrated, and deployed with quality and on-time from start to finish.

Job Purpose

The Technical Program Manager, Domestic & Regional Processing Initiatives will be responsible for implementation of new domestic processing deployments around the world. This includes management of numerous aspects of the deployments across scope, schedule, and budget components such as overseeing application development deliverables, infrastructure deployment, end-to-end testing, and client migrations. This position interacts with a wide range of stakeholders both within Technology and also with cross-functional teams including Product, Client Services, and Finance teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

o Project & program management of technical integration, and cross-functional execution of large-scale, high visibility strategic Technology initiatives:

o Initiatives may include working across multiple internal systems or 3rd party developed systems, and could include infrastructure deployment and/or the integration of external solutions

o Partner with key Technology and cross-functional stakeholders around the world to drive key program activities:

o Create and manage integrated implementation schedules across development, test, infrastructure deployment, and client migration activities

o Track program budgets, forecasts, and resourcing levels

o Communicate project issues and risks in a manner suitable to the audience of technical team, stakeholder and senior management

o Conduct program reviews across delivery teams

o Support executive management program updates

o Proactively manage program risks & issues

o Demonstrate skills in conflict management and negotiation to achieve project goals and develop trust with stakeholders

o Involvement in post-implementation system interoperability responsibilities with 3rd party processing partners and regulators

This role does not support relocation.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • 3+ years of experience delivering complex, technical projects
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. In particular, an ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and/or solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally as needed
  • Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
  • General understanding of Waterfall and Agile principles and practices, as well their application in day-to-day activities
  • Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically and drive decision making
  • Prior experience in a software development, test engineering, or business analysis role

Work Hours:
Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,300.00 to 172,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
