Primary Responsibilities
•This position builds on the skills of the Merchandiser role, while incorporating Draft Tech and Keg Delivery Driver. An example of a work schedule would be as follows;
Monday – Draft Tech
Tuesday – Merchandiser
Wednesday – Draft Tech
Thursday – Draft Tech
Friday – Merchandiser
Merchandising Skills
•Responsible for organizing, receiving, storing, and distributing all merchandising material in an effective manner. Must have a working knowledge of Breakthru Beverage Missouri, suppliers and on and off-premise merchandising techniques and standards
•Responsible for performing store resets and inventory management. Merchandisers ensure that all merchandising and special selling initiatives meet Breakthru Beverage Missouri standards and customer needs. In addition, they are responsible for the set-up of supplier meetings, sales programs, and new product launches
•Handle and maintain customer draft beer lines according to Breakthru Beverage draft standards
•Develop productive business relationships with retail partners such as chain store managers, liquor department managers, product receivers, on-premise food and beverage directors, restaurant GM’s, and bartenders
•Following up on store problems and customer concerns promptly and effectively is an essential function. Further, they must develop a standard of knowing the competition and “out servicing” them at every turn
Draft Tech and Keg Delivery Driver.
•Complete service calls pertaining to draft equipment; this includes troubleshooting and repairing all problems.
•Responsible for ordering draft equipment related to installation and service needs
•Maintain in account service tags to monitor line cleaning frequency
•Maintain territory line cleaning account tracking for assigned territory
•Deliver beer, draft equipment and set up draft equipment to various special events and festivals
•Occasionally may be asked to assist sales team with urgent beer deliveries to customers
•Assist with the set up and dismantling of tradeshows and community events
•Know, understand, and abide by all Federal and State laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages
•Understand and comply with all State and Federal regulations regarding the sale and promotion of assigned products
•Attend, participate, and complete all company regulatory and required trainings
•May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Essential Characteristics
•Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills. Communication must always be professional and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of diverse customers. Must be proficient in using various communication tools and technology to keep customers, peers, and managers apprised of their efforts
•Must have the ability to work in an unsupervised environment and have the consistent ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively while dealing with a variety of requests throughout the day
•Superior research and follow-up skills are important, especially when dealing with customers
•Must be proficient in computer systems and Microsoft Office environment; more specifically navigating Word and Excel documents, managing a calendar, and composing various emails
•Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends at special events
•Experience operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment a plus
•Lifting of objects up to 60 pounds
•Ability to maneuver up to 250 pounds with the use of a hand truck.
Education and Experience:
•Some college or vocational experience preferred
•Prior experience with heating & cooling systems, plumbing or beverage systems (beer, soda, etc.) a plus
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
•Valid Class E Driver’s License, or be willing to obtain one upon employment
•Valid CDL Class A or B Driver’s License is necessary at time of start, or be willing to obtain one upon employment
