Technical Marketing Engineer– manufacturing SAAS /icloud software
This is a full-time – hybrid position for one of our clients (mostly remote with the expectation that if a meeting is needed, must be able to work at the office. Must live within the Portland metro area. This is a salaried W2 position, client not able to sponsor visas.
Client provides cloud-basedSaaSsoftware for product lifecycle and manufacturing management .
We are seeking an innovative Technical Marketing Engineer to support our marketing initiatives in the Manufacturing Software applications realm. You will be contributing your technical expertise to the development of our marketing materials, assist with marketing campaigns and launches, and provide sales staff and clients with technical support.
To ensure success as a Technical Marketing Engineer, you should exhibit a sound knowledge of marketing strategies and the ability to apply your technical expertise to the development of marketing materials. A top-notch Technical Marketing Engineer will be someone whose technical expertise results in marketing campaign success and in retention of customers. Someone interested in building and sustaining customer success relationships with a growing company would be a great fit!
Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or related preferred.
  • Atleast 2 years' experienceas a Technical Marketing Engineer in a related industry.
  • 5+ years prior team experience working with manufacturing management software and inventory management software, performing marketing product campaigns, creative writing, technical writing, etc. that show usage of working with SAAS, Buyer personas, SEO, the acquisition funnel, customer retention tactics and strategies, email and customer outreach approaches, and drip campaigns.
  • Experience with Google Docs, G Suite, and / or PowerPoint/ Word/Excel.
  • Must have 5 years' experience with customer-engagement and marketing automation software such as Customer.io, Hubspot, Braze, Iterable,Orttoa.k.a. AutoPilot, Mixpanel, Act-Onor similar .
  • Must have experience with modern customer-engagement and authoring tools such as Camtasia, ScreenFlow, Captivate, Premiere, YouTube, Zoom, etc.
  • Required to present 2 concrete evidence (candidate created) of their marketing product, creative writing, technical writing, etc. that show usage of working with SAAS, Buyer personas, SEO, the acquisition funnel, customer retention tactics and strategies, email and customer outreach approaches, or drip campaigns, etc.
  • Exceptional engagement with modern technology and deep understanding of web-based application user interfaces and user experience in a SaaS cloud-based environment.
  • Working in a virtual setting - work from home or the office using software like Slack and Google Meet or similar.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies and product design.
  • Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills and has a passion for seeing others succeed.
  • Great negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels.
  • Customer presentation skills with a strong demonstrated active listening ability.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the marketing team on product development and campaign strategies.
  • Work closely with software development team to establish feature engagement triggers within Client to guide the customer journey.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with new features and software capabilities. Engage customers post-launch to collect feedback and measure user experience.
  • Determining the technical scope of envisaged projects and providing technical input. knowledge base documentation of standard workflow steps.
  • Anticipating technical product needs and integrating desired functionalities into the design.
  • Work closely with software development team on software enhancements and software quality.
  • Developing Technical Marketing materials and products, monitoring product performance, and resolving errors.
  • Training marketing team members and customers on product specifications and functionalities.
  • Delivering presentations and performing product demonstrations.
  • Answering client queries and providing technical product support.
  • Create a pipeline from development to customers to make them aware of new features and capabilities.
  • Documenting processes and compiling user manuals for the marketing team and clients.
  • Contributing to marketing strategies by researching market trends and associated technologies.
