Role: Technical Lead Engineer

Description:
The Technical Lead Engineer will lead a team to design, develop, configure, maintain, and test the software, translating business needs into working code.
Roles & Responsibilities
Collaborate in an agile, team-focused environment to drive project success.
Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions, primarily focusing on backend systems and related technologies.
Lead a team of engineers, guiding them in software development, troubleshooting technical challenges, and translating user stories into functional code. Perform hands on code development based on available capacity.
Ensure that code produced by team members meets high standards in terms of quality, documentation, to standards, efficiency, and maintainability.
Approach problems proactively and think creatively to devise technology solutions that align with business requirements.
Take charge of software testing and deployment processes, including implementing automated tests to ensure the quality of solutions.
Collaborate effectively with multi-stakeholder teams involved in digital transformation and cloud migration initiatives.
Coordinate with other engineers (~offshore) of the squad to manage risks, address, and escalate cross-squad dependencies and obstacles.
Demonstrate self-motivation and a proactive attitude, thriving in a fast-paced Rapid Application Development environment.
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a professional manner.
Exhibit strong facilitation, collaboration, and influencing skills, capable of building relationships, empowering team members, and collaborating at different organizational levels across JJT (IT department) and Business teams. Serve as face of development team in interactions with the business.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in Agile development
6-8 years of development experience in Java and Vue JS.
Must have proficiency with client-side languages, libraries, and frameworks: (Node.js, Express.js, vue.js, - required, and additionally Angular/TypeScript, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS).
Appreciation for and alignment to standard methodologies regarding object-oriented design, coding standards, RESTful service development and integration, common design patterns, secure application development, and test coverage
Experience with Agile Practices and Tools - Jira, Confluence preferred.
Experience with CI/CD - Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, Automated Testing (Hyperion) etc. is preferred.
Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, ELB, SNS, SMS, RDS, Eventbridge, ElastiCache, Cloudwatch) is preferred.
Experience with application and BI database modeling AWS RDS - PostgresSQL, Tableau, PowerBI preferred.
Experience with Content Delivery Networks (ex. Cloudflare) and SMTP mail services
