Summary: The Technical Support Specialist role is responsible for providing technical support for legacy and new PurClean/PurWater systems, including component ordering/RGA/warranty needs. Accountable for defining technical content needs, mentoring and training team members and customers, supporting a results orientated culture, providing feedback to management and applying
best practices in servicing our customer base.
Primary Duties:
- Responsible for providing world class technical support via phone, email and field visits.
- Define, implement and maintain technical library necessary to support legacy and new PurClean/PurWater systems.
- Provide technical training to OEM, Distributor and/or owner personnel on the operation and maintenance of systems.
- Define and implement customer training programs – H2O-U
- Timely, accurate part sale and RGA order generation/completion.
- Review/evaluate/process spare part orders, RGA’s and warranty claims for root cause analysis.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of O&M Manuals for all equipment
- Provide technical assistance to other areas, including working with owners, consultants and distributors on product design, equipment layout and add-on equipment, training and attending trade shows.
- Recommend upgrades/enhancements to existing system designs. Assist with the design/implementation of these changes, as needed.
- Mentor/train staff on technical aspects of Purclean/Purwater systems
- Perform other responsibilities as required.
- 4 year degree in business or equivalent business experience
- 2-3+ years of technical support experience
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude with the capability of troubleshooting installed systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organization skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize workload
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, WORD, Excel and online ZOOM meetings
- Knowledge of Water Treatment preferred
- Ability to travel up to 10%, including some weekends
