Requirements

As a Tech Ops Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Trading Operations team in New York City. This role is a unique opportunity to blend technology expertise with trading operations to drive efficiency and excellence in our cutting-edge crypto trading environment. This is a brand-new role managed by Warren, our Head of Trading Ops, with plenty of opportunity for growth and ownership. You will play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing our technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Support:

• Provide day-to-day support for trading systems and infrastructure, ensuring the smooth functioning of critical technologies.
• Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues affecting trading operations.

System Integration and Automation:

• Work closely with development teams to integrate and optimize trading algorithms and tools within our technological ecosystem.
• Implement automation solutions to streamline operational workflows and enhance efficiency.

Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Implement and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify potential issues and bottlenecks in the trading infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Security and Compliance:

• Collaborate with the security team to ensure that trading systems adhere to cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
• Participate in security audits and implement measures to enhance the overall security posture of trading operations.

Technology Enhancement Projects:

• Contribute to technology enhancement projects aimed at improving the performance and scalability of our trading systems.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements in the crypto and financial industry to propose innovative solutions.

Collaboration with Trading and Operations:

• Work closely with traders, operation teams, and other cross-functional teams to address technology-related challenges and implement solutions.
• Provide technical expertise in the evaluation and implementation of new trading technologies and tools.
  

Background and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technology operations, preferably within the financial or cryptocurrency industry.
• Strong knowledge of trading systems, algorithms, and market connectivity.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) and experience with automation tools.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.
