Job Duties:
- Assist individuals with disabilities to achieve their production goals in a safe and supportive environment.
- Must maintain production standards.
- Sweeps and cleans work area consistently.
- Operates production equipment while being aware of all safety requirements.
- Removes finished goods from machine, table, or conveyor and puts it into shipping containers or places in appropriate areas of facility.
- Adhere to ISO guidelines, safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Moves raw materials and finished goods manually or using a floor jack.
- Must be able to perform multiple jobs.
- Inspects carefully all products in order to meet quality standards of customer.
- Reads and understand process book and completes process book entries
- Assist Program Coordinator with associate intervention on behaviors and work habits using acceptable conflict prevention interactions and techniques.
- Enters associate service notes and other information into the Agency Database using appropriate keyboarding skills
- Adhere to all production, quality, and safety procedures.
Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required
- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience also preferred, but not required.
- Good math, strong written (grammar, spelling, punctuation) and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write and count.
- Ability to be calm and productive in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions.
- Must display a respectful and positive attitude towards clients, visitors and employees.
- Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, supported workers, providers, and family members.
- Use correct judgment, initiative and flexibility to meet job requirements.
- Has acceptable eye and hand coordination to assemble raw materials into finished products.
- Is able to increase speed in order to meet or exceed production quotas.
- Ability to regularly lift and move 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand on feet all day.
