Team Member

Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated hardworking individuals to join our team as Front Desk Team Members. As a Team Member, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth and development.

This position requires continuously doing rounds throughout the facility (front desk, fitness floor, posing room etc.) ensuring the facility is operating efficiently and safely and that club members/guests are following club regulations. This position also serves as a customer service/membership personnel presence within the club for member questions, concerns or needs. The Team Member is responsible for cleaning and restocking items in the club. Responsible for participating in all daily fitness center operations in order to ensure optimal performance of the Fitness Facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR FRONT DESK

• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
• Sell memberships and training packages
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Operate the POS system for payment handling
• Handle cash transactions and provide accurate change to customers
• Give tours of our facility to all new prospects and new members
• Help maintain inventory levels and restock supplies as necessary
• Answer phone calls and emails sent by members, Team Members or leads
• Any complaints or concerns are acknowledged, and directed to management to assist
• Performs opening and closing duties assigned for specific shifts
• Responsible for keeping the front desk clean and organized
• Maintain professionalism at the front desk. No eating, personal phone calls, or anything not work related is acceptable at the front desk

DUTIES FOR FITNESS FLOOR

• Takes club “rounds” by circulating throughout the entire facility locating any problems/issues that exist and takes actions to resolve these
• Reports any maintenance related problems to the Team Leader or Manager to fix the problem
• Vacuum, mop or clean the area assigned for the day. This includes gym equipment
• Performs a general customer service role by answering member/guest questions as they arise
• Ensure the fitness floor has paper towels, wipes or any cleaning supplies we need to maintain a clean facility
• Ensure the bathrooms have soap, toilet paper, or any other essentials.
• Other duties as assigned

GENERAL DUTIES

• Attend monthly all staff meetings
• Attend safety training meetings
• Attend any customer service, professional development trainings provided by company as it relates to the position

SKILLS

• Must be highly motivated and energetic
• Basic understanding of Excel spreadsheets
• Organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Creative and inventive in developing ways to make job more efficient
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong cash handling skills, including accurate counting and providing change
• Basic understanding of retail math for pricing calculations
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be a team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary
• Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary
• Preferably Bilingual: Spanish and English

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week

Shift:

• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Night shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Basic math: 1 year (Required)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
