About the Team

DoorDash is looking for top-talent to play a pivotal role in building our business in the Northeast or Central Region! As a leader within our team, you will play a key role in managing and coaching the Local DoorDash team members, while also carrying an individual quota.

We're looking for someone with deep market knowledge and excellent working relationships in the Northeast who is inspired to bring their experience, passion and skills to make an impact in the community and build the Strategic Sales Team.

About the Role

By leading a local sales team while carrying an individual quota, the Team Lead is responsible for ensuring we maximize the efforts of our Outside Sales Team, coach and train our reps to grow selection with a merchant first mentality, and leverage local knowledge to build partnerships with top local businesses.. This is the ultimate player-coach.

As the Outside Sales Strategic Team Lead you will report to the Senior Strategic Sales Manager within our organization.

Responsibilities 
  • Training new strategic team members on company/org policies and procedures as needed. 
  • Facilitating trainings on quarterly key initiatives to promote new products at the Region/Super Region level
  • Travel in field 2-3 times per month with reps to coach on field days and support in win initiatives 
  • Coaching team members on effective sales techniques and methods for increasing revenue
  • Meeting with clients to identify their needs and recommend products or services that meet those needs
  • Primary point of contact for rep administrative tasks via slack such as (quote approvals, deal desk submissions, salesforce tasks etc .)

  • Be a great people leader - Assess the strengths and development areas of your team and manage them accordingly; you will also operate at the lowest level of detail in signing up new merchants on your own. You will play a supporting role to direct reports in many different ways- from prospecting the top new restaurant groups to sourcing the decision maker, to creating the sales deck and helping with the close.
  • Be an Owner - You will be able to not only guide the team efforts, but also lead by example. Field days, pitch practice, and doing what it takes to help your team hit your targets is essential in this role.
  • There is no task too small - Our Team Lead for Northeast or Central will set the team up for success and lead by example. The Team Lead will be the ultimate player coach who signs the top merchants to lead by example, and also coaches their team members to close deals as well.
  • Collaborate - You will work closely with the Strategic Sales Manager to prioritize regions and cuisine types, train your team on new products and business updates, and will help your team approach lead lists, exceed effective targets, and directly contribute to the expansion into new markets and services.

Compensation

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below.  Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.  For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location.  Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
