Teaching Instructor ofComputer Science and Information Technology/Non-Tenure Track

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Brooklyn campus of St. Joseph’s University, New York invites applicants for a full-time non-tenure-track teaching position in Computer Science at the rank of Teaching Instructor beginning Fall 2024. Applicants should have a masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field. The department welcomes applicants from a variety of fields within Computer Science, we are especially interested in those who can support networking and computer Information Technology courses. The colleges offers both Computer Science and computer Information Technology majors and has upcoming minors in data Science and cybersecurity. Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of undergraduate Computer Science courses.

Candidates will be evaluated on their ability and enthusiasm to teach Computer Science classes in a liberal arts environment and their commitment to serving the department and university. The teaching load is ordinarily 12 credits each semester.

At St. Joseph’s University, approximately one thousand undergraduate and graduate students are taught at our Brooklyn campus. Along with our Long Island campus in Patchogue and our Online campus, we are part of St. Joseph’s University, New York. At the Brooklyn campus, located in the tree lined neighborhood of Clinton Hill, we offer students over forty undergraduate majors, including robust programs in the sciences and health care, education, the liberal arts and writing. It is just a few stops away on the subway from lower Manhattan.
