Required:    

1. NYS Elementary Certification in Childhood Education (1-6) or Pre K-6 required
2. Experience providing academic intervention and RTI support in the areas of Math
3. Familiarity with iReady preferred
4. Possess deep understanding of instruction in CCLS
5. Familiarity working with students with disabilities
6. Ability to use Data Driven Instruction to improve student achievement
7. Ability to collaborate with RTI team, grade level teams, and special area teachers
8. Strong use of technology to support professional responsibilities; ability to integrate technology into instruction
9. Evidence of academic success at undergraduate and/or graduate level
10. Strong written and oral communication skills
11. Strong work ethic; ability to collaborate with team/school

Qualifications Desired:      

Teaching Assistants provide small and large group instruction, remediation, and support. Teaching Assistants provide input into the planning process, maintenance of student records, and student progress on IEP goals
