Teacher/Teacher's Assistant

· Always Conducting yourselves in a professional manner.

· Always Dressing in a professional manner.

· Always Speaking in a pleasant tone to parents and children.

· Always Following DSS policies and procedures.

· Providing the parents, a brief highlight of their child’s day.

· Always greeting all the children and parents.

· Assist with washing hands, at the child’s arrival and throughout the day.

· Keeping the faces of the children always clean, and make sure all shoes are always tied.

· Assisting with potty training

· Always Interacting with the children, free play, class time, and outside play time.

· Providing a safe, fun, learning environment at all times (inside and outside)

· Lesson planning including activities for all classroom centers and all motor skills. (When children are napping teachers should be planning or cleaning)

· Ensure that all tracking sheets, daily reports, and meal count sheets are accurate.

· Assist with breakfast, lunch, and snack.

· Keep tables and toys sanitized before breakfast, lunch, and snack, also sanitize items at the end of each day.

· Housekeeping includes sweeping, mopping taking out trash, keeping the restrooms clean and always sanitized.

· Keeping sleeping cots cleaned.

· Detail cleaning of all center toys

· Keeping everything in the classroom organized, keeping up with puzzle pieces and game items also assist with the care of all toys and items in the classroom.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
