At our core, West Ridge Academy is an all-encompassing program designed to heal families. It exists to create an environment of real change for future generations. We provide lasting solutions through comprehensive mental health services for youth and their families. That is where hope and healing begins.
Teachers at West Ridge Academy are responsible for providing academic instruction and support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide small group instruction for student grades 4-12
- Write and update IEPs for students
- Teach life skills classes
- Contribute to student learning, growth, and advancement.
- Demonstrate academic competence in subject area(s) and displays an inclination for developing integrated and interdisciplinary work across the curriculum.
- Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning, teaching practice, and personal/collective professional development.
- Demonstrate a high degree of self-efficacy (agency); holds themselves accountable for learner outcomes and advocates for their students; works efficiently; and believes in their ability, the capability of their students, and themselves to succeed and excel.
