Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Part time Teacher for our Fort Pierce and Palm City team!
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-1pm
Compensation: $24/hr
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Teacher position works with Summit Pathway Academy of Innovation students to assist them in achieving the necessary credits to receive their high school diploma.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides and performs program delivery functions including the following;
- The Pathway Academy of Innovation Teacher provides leadership, supervision, and direction to students.
- The Pathway Academy of Innovation Teacher is directly supervised by and works under the direction of the Site Director, abides by, and supports the vision, values and policies, and procedures of the company, as well as, relevant state policies and regulations.
- Assist students to complete credits necessary in areas of reading, language arts, math, science, history and/or government, to enable them to receive their high school education.
- Provide leadership necessary to successfully promote an effective, safe, alternative learning environment for students from diverse ethnic, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds to prepare students for high school graduation.
- Identify student issues and assess solutions using continuous improvement processes.
- Review and monitor student data daily to ensure academic achievement and progress.
- Provide leadership daily updates of student performance.
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to support and promote student success.
- Safeguard student retention through effective leadership and coordination of resources.
- Complete required reports on a timely basis.
- Helping to organize and prepare quarterly graduations and events related to the successes of the Pathway Academy.
- Attend daily meetings to report on student progress.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Four year degree from an accredited college or a two year degree and 4 years' experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and walk. The noise level in the work environment varies. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. In addition, the employee must be able to lift up to a minimum of 25lbs, able to work in non-air conditioned environment and to stay on feed for extended periods of time.
